Last year in May, when I received Ali Do\u011fan G\u00f6n\u00fclta\u015f’s digital album,\u00a0Ki\u011f\u0131<\/em>, his voice and his music captured me. I felt compelled to talk to him to explore the possibility of a collaboration.<\/span><\/h6>\n

It was clear to me that there would be some challenges… The increasing cost of transport, the visas… Even his English was almost inexistent when I travelled to Vienna for\u00a0his concert in September!\u00a0But the music and the talent were more powerful than all that.<\/span><\/p>\n

A little over a year has passed. Ali and his band have performed in 2023 in\u00a0Germany, Switzerland, Sweden and Spain<\/strong>. The concerts have been adapted to indoor and outdoor formats, captivating audiences in both contexts. <\/span><\/p>\n

He has given a three-day workshop for teachers in Valencia (here \u2b07\ufe0f you can see him with his students).<\/span><\/p>\n

We have made a physical CD of his album. We have made a video of a performance commissioned by the\u00a0Library of Congress of the USA<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today, 18th of August, they will play in Dersim<\/strong>, the cultural capital of their homeland. <\/span><\/p>\n

On Sunday 20th they travel to\u00a0France<\/strong>\u00a0for a tour of 10 concerts, until September 1st (full schedule,\u00a0here<\/a>). And, after France, Ali will perform at the\u00a0Fira Mediterr\u00e0nia in Manresa<\/strong>, at the\u00a0Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Gulbenkian in Lisbon<\/strong>\u00a0and has a tour in Germany between 7 and 27 November (thanks to alba Kultur), which includes the iconic Elbphilarmonie auditorium in Hamburg \u27a1\ufe0f (complete program,\u00a0here<\/a><\/strong>).<\/span><\/p>\n

In December, Ali will record\u00a0his second album<\/strong>. We already have some plans for 2024 and we are working on the bookings, so contact me if you need any info!<\/span><\/p>\n
