Today, December 27th 2021, marks 14 years since the first concert organised under the Mapamundi M\u00fasica brand.\u00a0<\/strong><\/h1>\n

On\u00a027th December 2007, the first concert managed by Mapamundi M\u00fasica<\/strong>\u00a0took place. It was in Sevilla la Nueva, a town in the province of Madrid,\u00a0by the trio\u00a0Cherno More<\/em>, with\u00a0the Sudanese artist Wafir Shaikheldin and the Bulgarian brothers Nasco and Ivo Hristov. This\u00a0picture of me is in front of the stage for the\u00a0first concert in Spain by Chuchurumel<\/a>, Portuguese band, in June 2008 in M\u00f3stoles. Great memories.<\/p>\n

Personally, during these years I have been able to meet and befriend professionals whom I greatly admire for their professionalism and commitment and I\u00a0look forward to welcoming more colleagues and collaborators<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Mapamundi M\u00fasica has attended\u00a0dozens of fairs, festivals and conferences<\/strong>\u00a0and has had\u00a0three artists on the official WOMEX programme<\/strong>\u00a0(Gulaza, Monsieur Doumani and Hudaki Village Band), something that back in 2007 seemed a dream hard to reach.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

All this time we have maintained our radio activity, mainly with\u00a0Mundofon\u00edas<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In July 2018 I started publishing the\u00a0<\/strong>monthly newsletter<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0Mapamundi M\u00fasica, with the aim of delving deeper into what’s behind the scenes and giving visibility to professionals to learn from, as well as contributing to the community with useful news and some reflections.<\/p>\n

I hope that in 2022 we can finally leave behind the nightmare that is making life so difficult for us.\u00a0Count on Mapamundi M\u00fasica and the know-how of our artists. Trust us, you won’t regret it.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
