BIO<\/h1>\n

Rodopi Ensemble are musicians who have grown up in a frame where traditional music and dance were part of their environment and you can feel it: they play their music with the knowledge and naturalness with which they speak their mother tongue.\u00a0They come from the Greek part of Thrace, that corner of Europe where Bulgarian, Greek and Turkish cultures are intermingled.<\/p>\n

The band has been working for more than 20 years. They play with mastery the traditional styles, like xasapiko<\/em>, tsifteteli<\/em>, karsilamas<\/em> or zeibekiko<\/em>. The public can not only listen, but also learn the dances at the workshop provided by Alkis, the player of qanun, that is also an experienced teacher of dance, as well as director of festivals himself (Cosmopolis, in Kavala, Greece, and Mediterranean Music Festival in Switzerland).<\/p>\n
