Entavía released their first album, Raíces con Alas, in 2017. And in Autumn of 2021 they released their second work: Arando Ñieve (Plowing Snow). They have played massively in Spain and have performed also in Portugal and Greece. This second album will be the definitive boost for their international career.

Entavía is the same as “todavía” (“still”) in the variation of Salamanca.

The culture of their region, Salamanca, is nourished by influences from the south, with the travellers who travelled along the Vía de la Plata (the Route of the Silver), the way to Santiago from Seville, a route for pilgrims, goods and ideas. Entavía also draws from multiple sources: from the village music of its people and those travellers, from the tradition of the “copla” (the Spanish equivalent of the fado or tango) of the 1930s and from visionary poets such as Miguel de Unamuno.

And if music is characterised by anything, it is for being a light baggage that accompanies the traveller without asking for anything in return. Spanish music travelled to America and bore fruit there, which now also inspires music on this side of the Atlantic. Entavía also pays tribute to the music of our American brothers.

The main styles for dancing in the region are charro, charrada and, of course, the jota, present all over Spain.

DISCOGRAPHY:

The band has two selfproduced albums: Raíces con Alas (roots with wings) and Arando Ñieve (plowing snow

ENTAVÍA MEMBERS: Cele Hernández – voice / Javier Montes – flutes, gaita charra, percussions / David Jiménez “Tevi” – Spanish guitar / Emilio Cordero “Michu” – clarinet, cuatro, taisho koto / Óscar López – bass, doublebass WHAT IS ENTAVÍA Roots attached to the past and wings to fly towards the future… Entavía is […]

["post-1229","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry
["GET
