THREE COLOURS OF
TRADITIONAL DANCE

The traditional dances across Europe are a expression of popular art that belong to the people and that have been used from generation to generation as a catalyst for interpersonal communication, as a core component of rituals, as a way to honour and to celebrate… Their range of difficulty covers from the easy enough to enable the engagement of almost everybody, to the mastery of the most skillfull and gallant participants.

In this proposal we offer you for your program a full day with traditional dances from three corners of Europe: three workhops in the morning and afternoon and three concerts in the evening, guided by animators that will assist the public to remember what they’ve learnt and that will cheer up the participation with diverse dynamics.

All this, with live music by three of the European bands that are real masters of their respective traditions: Vigüela (Spain), Rodopi Ensemble (Greece) and Janusz Prusinowski Kompania (Poland). With this three bands from three corners of Europe we can experience both ancient circle dances, simple but majestic pageants, wild whirling dances and diverse joyful couple dances. For the public that prefer just to watch, the concerts will be of interest by themselves.
